UPDATE (Thursday, April 20) : Congratulations, everyone! We've got a supersized season finale. Scroll down to the entry for Thursday, May 11 and look for Casino Night.
Executive Producer Greg Daniels has gone on record as saying that he would like to air a special, extended edition of The Office for the upcoming Season Two Finale scheduled to air this May.
We, the Office faithful, are right behind Mr. Daniels on this one. Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, and the rest of the powers that be, please grant Mr. Daniels' request for the 2925 reasons listed below.
Office fans who have not yet responded, now's your chance.

Because if a half-hour of "The Office" is incredible, a full hour would be COMPLETELY AMAZING.
Why only one hour? I say make it TWO! We should get an hour-long finale, followed by an hour of cast interviews, deleted scenes and outtakes. I'm sure that content is being produced for the Season 2 DVD anyway, so use some of it for a televised schedule and plug the heck out of the DVD in the process!
NBC: Nobody watches your 10 pm show. Actually, I don't even know what it IS.
So really, the only thing we'll be missing is 20-30 extra minutes of sheer goodness.
You've already given it a third season - now show people The Office means business.
"...pink the color, Pink the person, hot dogs, anything that's awesome..." ---including SUPERSIZING THE FINALE! Because that would be awesome.
That is all.
It would only make sense that the season finale of The Office be supersized because you know, I know it, we all know it-- It's the best thing on TV!
The show is too short as it is. The Office should be on 24 hours a day, so a supersized episode isn't asking too much!
Pleeeeeeeeeease?
Do it! You know you want to.
Such intelligent, unique shows are rare in today's television. Giving "The Office" an extended season finale would be a great show of support (thank you, by the way, for already approving a full-order third season) for this amazing show. It'd garner attention and new viewers.
And think of all the horrible, hilarious things (and the deliciously painful Jim/Pam angst) that could happen in an hour. The mere thought of it makes me want to bounce in my chair and squeal.
Because I need a reason to live!
Because we missed so many weeks due to the Olympics and the show is awesome! (Is there really a reason not to Supersize the finale??)
While I was a college student, I never had time to watch television. After a few semesters of doing homework and keeping the television off, I'd lost my taste for watching television all together and most of my once-favorite shows: "Friends", "ER", etc. were either ending or had changed so much I didn't know (or care) what was going on.
But now "The Office" is one of the *three* shows I watch on a regular basis. It's brilliantly funny, different, off-beat, and writting very smartly. I enjoy it to no end, and Thursday nights are the special television time my husband and I both enjoy.
We both would love to see a "supersized" episode. Sometimes, a half-hour show seems just too short. Please "supersize" the season finale!
I love the show and think it needs a longer season finale
I think it's one of the most interesting TV shows that have hit TV...a comedy which is not all comedy, but drama and action at times, too.
I think that in order to hang on till the next season it would be a great idea to make prolonged one to keep us there hanging!
Just look how many fans this show has on LifeInTheOffice.com and you'll see why it's so important!
Because the Schrute's breed thirsty babies. Isn't that reason enough? NBC needs a smart decision under their belt this season.
Because everytime the show ends...I feel like I was only teased.
We fans need our fix after missing two weeks of Office because of the Olympics. If I'd had the choice between Torino and Scranton, I'd choose Scranton, hands down. But I didn't have the choice, and now I need an hour's Office made up to me. All I'm going to ask for, though, is a supersize finale. That will satisfy.
A half hour feels like never enough when watching "The Office", so an opportunity to receive a full hour of laughs to cap off a great season is unbelievably fantastic. Please supersize the finale!
This show is so funny in the 29 minutes that it usually airs, that I can't even imagine how hysterical an hour would be. It would be a dream come true.
