UPDATE (Thursday, April 20) : Congratulations, everyone! We've got a supersized season finale. Scroll down to the entry for Thursday, May 11 and look for Casino Night.
Executive Producer Greg Daniels has gone on record as saying that he would like to air a special, extended edition of The Office for the upcoming Season Two Finale scheduled to air this May.
We, the Office faithful, are right behind Mr. Daniels on this one. Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, and the rest of the powers that be, please grant Mr. Daniels' request for the 2925 reasons listed below.
Office fans who have not yet responded, now's your chance.

Its one of NBCs best shows, and the super big season finale, if well advertised, could potentially bring even more viewers to the next season.
The benefits would be incalcalulible.
The episodes always seem to end too soon!
Well, I think every episode of this show should be an hour, but especially the season finale. It's the funniest show on tv, better than all of NBC's other shows even though I totally love Scrubs too, I'm just saying, if I had to choose, I would totally pick The Office. Oh also, Steve Carrell is writing the finale and I'm guessing its going to be packed with hilarity. Also, NBC, this guy saved your asses. Because he pulled in bank with 40 Year-Old Virgin, your ratings when way higher and probably even pulled in viewers for my name is earl. So you owe him, and us, a full hour episode. It's not gonna kill you!
Because! Gosh.
Everything else is supersized these days, why not the funniest show on TV?
Really, what would you lose by making it an hour? I mean, can you give us reasons why you shouldn't?
I've been thinking for months that The Office should be an hour long. Those talented writers of yours could pull it off. Just by reading the blogs that the cast members have, I've seen them write numerous times "there was a little more to that scene, but it got cut"...well now we can actually see those extended scenes between Jan and Micheal, Dwangela and of course the new triangle...Jim, Pam and Roy. SUPERSIZE THE OFFICE FINALE.....AND FOR GOOD!!
the office is one of the best series on tv and giving us a supersized episode would make our heads explode, making international news everywhere hence getting more people to watch the show.
For those that have seen the delated scenes on the First Season DVD...you know their is so much funny we are not seeing. Also, in the episode commentaries, the actors talk so much about hysterical scenes in the show that had to be cut. This brilliant show deserves an hour long episode to end this stellar season!
Supersizing the Office is healthier than supersizing your Big Mac. Laughing is good for everyone.
Because it's the best show on TV and we'll be stuck with no new episodes all summer. This way we'll have a little more to savor before the drought.
b/c the office is the best comedy on TV since seinfeld!
and i'll love you forever!
pretty pretty please!!
I can't think of a reason why not to supersize this badboy! (Thats what she said)
Nothing would be better than one full hour of the Office.
If a moronic program like "Dancing With the Stars" gets a two-hour finale, a program that is sophisticated and funny and genuinely entertaining should get an extended finale as well. I know "Dancing With the Stars" is an ABC program, not an NBC program, but still. It's the principle of the matter.
Because Steve Carrell wrote the finale and he won an Emmy for the show! That's reason enough to grant his script a full hour.
Though NBC has had some ratings problems recently, especially on Thursdays, My Name Is Earl and The Office have revitalized the night, and it's due to the hard work of the cast and crew, as well as the dedication of the viewers. Both of those groups want a supersized Office finale, so I can't justify you not doing so. More hours of new shows with good ratings = a good thing, NBC. We'd all love you for it.
The season finale should be supersized because I watched the olympics -- even though I would have much rather have been watching the Office. So, as a reward for having to go two weeks without the show, NBC should show the fans a little love and supersize the episode. It will not disappoint.
(Life in the Office rules. )
NBC would be able to promote an extended finale, increase ratings and, therefore, increase revenue.
