UPDATE (Thursday, April 20) : Congratulations, everyone! We've got a supersized season finale. Scroll down to the entry for Thursday, May 11 and look for Casino Night.
Executive Producer Greg Daniels has gone on record as saying that he would like to air a special, extended edition of The Office for the upcoming Season Two Finale scheduled to air this May.
We, the Office faithful, are right behind Mr. Daniels on this one. Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, and the rest of the powers that be, please grant Mr. Daniels' request for the 2929 reasons listed below.
Office fans who have not yet responded, now's your chance.
Please direct whatever questions, concerns, praises or mildly derogatory insults you may have regarding this petition to james@northernattack.com.
Because it would be a crime not to. The creators manage to pack so much into each twenty minute episode, I can't even begin to imagine what they could do with an extra twenty. It would be a great opportunity for the show to cover some new ground not to mention the fact that it would be mind-blowingly awesome.
We'd get to the bottom of the first half-hour, and then we'd have another half-hour to look forward to. It'd be just like second drink.
A guy goes home, and he asks his neighbor, "Hey, did you get a supersized Office?" And the neighbor says, "No man. I mean I slave all day, and all I get is a 30-minute season finale."
Next thing you know, the guy smells something terrible coming from the neighbor's house. Neighbor's hanged himself, due to lack of supersizing.
Mr. Zucker, please consider extending the Office season finale to an hour. It's a matter of life or death.
Listen up NBC bigwigs. You have to supersize the season finale of The Office because you owe it to a lot of people.
...to Greg Daniels and the rest of the producers for taking a show that most predicted would fail miserably and making it into a bonafide hit.
...to the writers who week after week have given us a show unlike anything else on TV.
...to the actors who consistently make millions of people laugh out loud every Thursday, and whose indiviudal committment to the fans has had such an impact.
...to the fans - never underestimate the power of your fans - we can make you or break you in season 3.
There are certain things that Mr. Zucker should not share with his employees:
1) His salary - that would depress them.
2) His bed - ....
3) That he is not going to supersize The Office season finale.

Because, man, it would be like a cause for celebration, or something. Or a glorius reward for the ever-increasing viewership who love this show like none other before it. This is my favorite TV show of all time, bar none! Please, please, please, SUPERSIZE THE SEASON FINALE! It would be just the greatest thing ever
This is a show unlike any other currently on TV.
The writers are the best on television and legions of Office fans can attest to that. They have so much creativity in this show that not even a mere 20:30 can contain its comedic genius (minus commerial breaks).
The actors have found their niche and have finally come together with their characters and are now expanding to new territory.
And finally, if the season finale IS going to be supersized then you, Mr. Zucker, as well as the millions who watch the show will not be dissappointed.
I'm not actually from Alabama, I'm like, thousands of miles away, but I STILL need a supersized Office finale. In fact, because I'm so far away it would make sense to make a supersized Office finale, because th-..
Please do it Mr. Zucker.
[Editor's Note: The petition has been updated to support international entries.]
Because the Office kicks ass.
If you don't do it, I will go to NBC's headquarters, take the elevator up to your office and kick you straight in the babymaker. I mean business, hombre.
Because the greatest show on TV right now deserves... no... not deserves... it DEMANDS that it has a super-sized season finale episode.
Does anyone even care about ER anymore? Surely shaving off some minutes from ER might actually be a good thing.
So, please, NBC bourgeoisie, please let me enjoy a super-sized Office episode!
Because this is the next great NBC show, following in the steps of Seinfeld.
Question: Why do I think NBC should let Greg Daniels supersize The Office season finale?
Because NBC has FINALLY found a comedy that works and would not want to disappoint millions of loyal viewers.
Thank you.
That is all.
Pretty Please!!
The season finale needs to be supersized because for once the NBC execs need to listen to their fan base. For some of us, "The Office" is the only reason we watch NBC at all. Make "The Office"'s growing fan base happy and just watch the profits from iTunes roll in :)
Oh, and do it 'cause man, that would so rock!
The Office is, hands down, the reason TVs were made for viewing. In a world dominated by reality shows, The Office is the second-coming of the next best thing on the tube.
We simply need a supersized season finale.

For many simple reasons, the most important of all is that you don't want to piss off Dwight Schrute, karate master. He just might get mad if you don't Supersize it and give you a roundhouse kick to the head, Schrute-style.
We'll have to go all summer without a new episode. We need something like a supersized episode to help hold us over til the new season starts or the DVD for Season 2 comes out. Sooooo....please please please give us a supersized episode.
The Olympic break was too much. We loyal The Office fans should be rewarded with as much watchable primetime television as possible.
I'm typically a believer of "less is more," but in this case, I feel that fans would greatly appreciate an extended season finale, complete with a cliffhanger.
Because if they can't supersize their show, who can?
Concept and operations by Kathie at Give Me My Remote. The GMMR Office-ianados wish they worked at Dunder Mifflin.
Design and implementation by James at Northern Attack. James would like to meet Sprinkles, Otter, Lucy and Hamilton.
Tested by Jennie at OfficeTally. Her devotion to The Office is incalcucable.
